Visit the nearby beaches of Spanish Point (5mins drive from Eco Camping Glamping), White Strand (5mins), Seafield (near Quilty, 10mins), Lahinch (20mins), Doughmore beach Doonbeg (20mins). These are nice beaches to walk with some headland trails.

Sea Angling with Doonbeg Adventures or Marine Eco Tours (20mins drive). phone or text Seán at 0830257470 to arrange a short fishing trip or scenic coastal tour on his boat departing from Doonbeg pier.

Surfing and Kayaking: the nearest beach for surf lessons is Spanish Point. Lahinch has a number of surf school also. Kayaks can be rented at White Strand beach.

  1. NORTH: visit Lahinch, Cliffs of Moher, Doolin, Ballyvaughan (via Burren National Park), Aillwee Cave and Birds of Prey, The Burren Centre and High Crosses at Kilfenora. Hike or Cycle one of the many Burren Trails.

  2. SOUTH: visit Kilkee, Loop Head Light House, Carrigaholt Fishing Village, Kilrush Marina and Vandaleur Walled Garden and Visitor Centre

  3. EAST: visit Ennis town, Bunratty Castle and Folk Park, Craggaunowen Castle and Crannóg (prehistoric lake dwelling)

  4. WEST: visit Aran Islands by taking a ferry from Doolin Pier. Ferry to Inis Mór (Big Island) departs 9am and is a 30min drive from Eco Camping Glamping. Free car parking available at Doolin pier.

  • Try our Seaweed Hot Tub and Sauna at Eco Camping Glamping. 50eur for two people (1 hour), 80eur for 4 people (1 hour). Group bookings 200eur for 3 hours. some ‘thalassotherapy’ during your stay. locally sourced seaweed. Fast Food: Chef Kebab in Quilty do the best home cut chips, kebabs and pizzas. You can eat in at Chef Kebab to save on waste.

Live Traditional Music: Miltown Malbay is renowned for traditional Irish music with music 7 nights a week (July and August, 4 nights a week for the rest of the year) in nearby Lynch’s Pub (known locally as Friel’s). This old style bar is just a few minutes walk from Eco Camping Glamping (on the same street) so you can park up at the campsite and walk to the pub for a few creamy pints and some craic (Gaeilge ‘Irish’ for ‘Fun’) 🙂
